Our Services

  • Cold laser therapy, also known as low-level laser therapy (LLLT), offers numerous benefits. Cold laser is non-painful and non-invasive. It promotes tissue healing and regeneration by stimulating cellular activity, increasing blood circulation, and reducing inflammation. It has been proven effective in relieving pain associated with musculoskeletal disorders, such as arthritis, tendon injuries, and ligament injuries.

  • Manual therapy encompasses techniques like massage, range of motion exercises, stretching, and joint mobilizations. Massage therapy can help relax muscles, improve blood circulation, relieve pain, and enhance the body's natural healing process. Range of motion exercises aid in maintaining and restoring joint flexibility, promoting proper joint function and preventing stiffness or limitations in movement. Stretching plays a vital role in improving flexibility, increasing muscle elasticity, reducing the risk of injuries, and correct postural issues. Joint mobilizations, target specific joints to improve their range of motion, reduce pain, and restore optimal joint function.

  • Targeted exercises, tailored to the specific needs of the pet, can address specific mobility issues and weaknesses. We determine which exercises are appropriate for your pet based on their specific deficits identifed during their exam. We utilize various pieces of equipment to target specific areas.

  • Pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) therapy uses electromagnetic fields to deliver pulsed energy to the body's tissues. PEMF therapy can stimulate cellular activity, reduce pain, and promote healing. There are several studies showing that PEMF is effective in accelerating the healing of fractures, improving healing following disc herniations, and reducing pain associated with arthritis.

  • Transcutaneous electrical stimulation (TENS) delivers low-level electrical currents through electrodes placed on the skin to help alleviate pain. TENS works by blocking pain signals and stimulating the release of endorphins, the body's natural painkillers. This non-invasive and drug-free approach is particularly beneficial for animals with acute pain following surgery or chronic pain that requires a multimodal approach.

  • Neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) offers significant benefits for animals with neurological diseases. NMES involves the application of electrical currents to stimulate the nerves and muscles, aiming to improve motor function and reduce the impact of neurological impairments. One of the primary benefits of NMES is its ability to activate muscles that may be weakened or paralyzed due to conditions like intervertebral disc disease (IVDD), degenerative myelopathy (DM), lumboscaral disease, or spinal stroke. By stimulating the nerves that innervate these muscles, NMES helps maintain muscle mass, prevent muscle atrophy, and improve muscle strength and endurance. This can lead to improved mobility, enhanced motor control, and increased functional independence for your pet.

  • Therapeutic ultrasound provides deep tissue heating and can aid in accelerating tissue healing by enhacing the metabolic rate of cells and promoting collagen production. It can be used to target specific areas of the body, such as joints or injured tissues, allowing for localized treatment and faster recovery. This non-invasive and painless therapy is beneficial for conditions like CCL tears, swelling related to arthritis, bicep tendon injuries, and iliopsoas injuries.

  • We can help your dog get fit for a custom orthotic or prostehtic device. Common conditions treated with orthotics include CCL/ACL tears, achilles injuries, and carpal hyperextension injuries. Prosthetics are artificial limbs designed to replace missing or amputated limbs, allowing pets to regain their mobility and lead active lives. We work closely with brace companies to create personalized solutions for each animal, ensuring proper fit, function, and comfort. Learn more here.

  • Sometimes assistive devices are the best way to help animals regain their function and independence. We can help fit your pet for various assistive devices such as help em up harnesses, toe ups for knuckling, toe grips for traction, booties, carpal wraps, tarsal wraps, and more. Help 'Em Up harnesses are designed to assist pets with mobility challenges by providing support and stability to their hind end, allowing them to stand, walk, or climb stairs with ease. These harnesses are particularly beneficial for pets recovering from surgery, suffering from arthritis, or experiencing hind limb weakness.

  • We can help you through the entire process of measuring, ordering, and fitting your pet for a custom cart or wheelchair. Wheelchairs are designed to support animals with mobility issues or paralysis, enabling them to move around independently and engage in physical activities. These devices not only provide freedom of movement but also promote muscle strength and prevent further deterioration. They can be used temporarily as pets recover from injuries such as intervertebral disc disease (IVDD) or long term for pets with chronic mobility issues. We will help teach your pet how to move in the cart to ensure your pet gets the most out of their wheelchair.
